The Pinion
Established in 1920, The Pinion is a student-run newspaper for McKinley High School.
The Mission - The Pinion staff strives to provide and maintain accurate, entertaining and informative news for the students, staff and alumni of McKinley High School. We strive to show diligence in creating all our content so we can make a positive contribution to the public.
The Pinion is published by the Newswriting class and printed by Reprographics Learning Center.

In Fall, 2018, 71% of McKinley’s graduating seniors enrolled in college.
Forty percent of graduates entered 2-year colleges
Thirty-one (31)percent attended 4-year colleges
The majority of students chose to continue their education in Hawaii; 13% attended mainland institutions.
Students also enlisted in various branches of the military as well as apprenticeship programs.
